What are your motives?

Earlier this week, motives came to my mind.
What is the intention in everything I do?
I was inspired by reading the book of proverbs when this very scripture caught my attention.
Yah Judges us from what we do from the inside not what seems good on the outside.

What are my motives/intentions:
-Think before I speak
-Serving
-Lifting Weights
-Growing my small business
-Taking care of myself at all levels
-Prayer
-Studying
-Making sure I keep my thoughts in line
-Taking things one step at a time
-Building for my legacy to have a good start.
etc…
Examining our motives will keep us in line. Living each moment with purpose and righteous intentions
Remembering~ We reap what we sow~

Struggling with thoughts?
Have you ever experienced thoughts that are negative? Well, you are part of 99.9% of the world. The thing about us is that we entertain them instead of rebuking them.
This is why many people act on evil impulses like( stealing, coveting, fornication, deceiving people, envy, taking advantage of people, depression, cursing others, etc…
The enemy doesn’t have control over us only if we allow it. It all starts in the MIND!!!
Yah gave us power over every unclean spirit.
The power to control the narrative(to a certain extent) of our lives. We are the gatekeepers of what we entertain: media, people, food, and thoughts.
The way we combat this is by:
- Purring all thoughts into captivity- 2 Corinthians 10:5
- Rebuking the enemy- James 4:7
- Think about good things- Phillipians 4:8
- Our desires not of this world, but on the things above-Romans 12:2
- Putting on the full armor of Yah-Ephesians 6:11
I know a lot of us still struggle with certain things. I still deal with anxiety from time to time which leads to rumating thoughts. One thing we have to do is to make a daily choice to fight to choose who we will serve.
Is it ourselves? the enemy? or the most high Yah? ~Choose this day on who you will serve~Joshua 24:15

What fruits do you bare from the seeds you’ve planted?
I was pondering this question for the past 2 weeks. What seeds am I planting in all aspects of my life?
-Health
-Motherhood
-Legacy
-Business
-Family
etc…
A lot of people don’t realize that they’re living life on autopilot or their own will and that’s detrimental. You have to be mindful of what you are doing at all times so that you can continue to make strides in the right direction. For women who are married, ask your head about what seeds you need to plant in certain areas of your life, so he can direct you on the fruit you should bear under his headship.
Overall, a woman should strive to exceed in all areas of her life to be the best version of herself. She will be able to pour into her head, family, and others. For instance:
Health:
-Establish an exercise routine
-Eating a clean diet
-Skincare routine
-Time to nourish the soul
Motherhood:
-Teaching the children the ways of Yah
-Giving children the tools to be successful in all areas of their life
-Be an example of what they should strive to be
Legacy:
-Helping your master produce seed
-Helping to grow generational wealth and giving an inheritance to your children
-Passing down the ways of Yah generationally
Business:
-With permission from your master(if married), generating income to build the home by operating a business, helping in the family business, or from work
Family, friends, and sisterhood:
-Looking out for them and being a tool to sharpen one another
Charity:
-Helping those in need
-Helping other women on their journey
So the question for you is, What fruit do you want to bear?

Manipulation in children
Children have a way of using their essence to get what they want like a woman. The thing is a child at first don’t recognize their actions as manipulation because they haven’t been taught. Since I’ve gained an understanding of why manipulation is a sin, I’ve been catching my daughter on her behaviors and correcting them.
- .Repeat the same thing
When your child repeats the same thing over and over again you eventually do what they want you to do.
Example: I told my daughter that I will do any activity with her later. She continues to say out loud,” when are we going to do an activity, activity, activity!” By repeating herself, she thinks I will do it right now when she wants me to.
- 2. Try to persuade you
They will try to sway your opinion on not to do something
Example: Your child says I will clean my toys if you let me play longer.
- 3. Nudge you in a certain direction
Not being direct, but passive to get their way
Example: Huffing and puffing or making noises to get your attention to do something.
- 4. Using their voice and body language
Fixing their face either it’s displeasing or sweet and using gestures to get what they want.
Example: Your child tugging at your clothes with big doe eyes to get you that toy they want at the store. You tell them not now, but they insist on using these tactics to get what they want.
Both genders can be manipulative, but daughters have a way of doing this times 10. I’ve come to realize these actions of submissiveness start as a child. if not corrected, your child will grow to be entitled and learn to not subject themselves to leadership under their husbands.
So, don’t think you to hard on them. For I thought the same, but it’s necessary to raise them up on the way they should go. If not, they will subject themselves to the mindset of the world and you see how that’s a failure.

If I’ve missed something or you have additional input, feel free to share it in the comments.

Manipulation sabbath lesson
Introduction:
- Say Prayer
- Say 10 commandments
- Share what you’re grateful for
Manipulation: any attempt to sway someone’s emotions to get them to act or feel a certain way.
Willfulness: having or showing a stubborn or determined intention to do as one wants regardless of the consequences of effects.
Read 1 Chron 10:13- Saul dies because instead of waiting on Yah. In his willfulness, he sins and seeks a medium for guidance(to get his way)
Read 1 Sam 15:23- Yah rejected him because rebellion is like the sin of witchcraft
Rebellion= Willfulness
Read or Summarize the story of jezebel– she used manipulation and willfulness to get what she wanted through Ahab. She played like she was submissive but a puppetmaster stirring the direction over her head Ahab
Overview for children
- State the times on how children use manipulation
- Explain the importance of why it’s wrong and why it goes against Yah
- Ask them in what ways they can avoid being Manipulative/willfull.
- Explain to them how they can really avoid it: subjecting themselves to the order of Yah, how children should seek to please the most high by their subjection to their parents—not formulating their own will and desire.
Activity: Scenario with toys
Use your children’s toys to play out these scenarios. Then explain the wrong way to respond and the right way to respond.
- You ask your child to go do their chores. Child wines, pout, or stomp away because they don’t want to do it. Or wants to do it on their time.
- You ask your child to wait until after dinner to get their dessert. Child repeats themselves on getting a dessert after you said what you were going to do.
- The child tries to bribe you to do something in exchange for doing what they asked you to do.
Overall: A child needs to know that trying to get their will by using their expressions, emotions, and words is manipulation. It’s not having a heart of obedience nor is it pleasing to the Yah because it reflects on how you treat him.
